“Anniversary” trip to Ontario

In June, we spent several days visiting Southern Ontario, along the Lake Erie shore, to the Welland Canal, the Trent-Severn Waterway(Peterborough), Tobermory and Sault Ste Marie before returning home.

Anniversary trip to Alaska

We left Jul 18 and returned on Aug 27. Our adventure was compounded by towing a new R-Pod trailer that we purchased on Jul 7. We had not slept in it before Jul 18! We visited the Int’l Peace Garden on the North Dakota-Manitoba border and drove through Regina, Saskatoon, and Edmonton on the way to Dawson Creek, BC(Alaska Highway “Mile 0”) and Whitehorse, YK before reaching Alaska. We visited Tok, Wrangell-St. Elias NP(Nabesna and McCarthy/Kennicott), Valdez, Glennallen, Anchorage, Seward(Kenai Fjords NP), Denali NP, and Fairbanks. Returning home we camped beside Kusaswa Lake(2nd time!), stayed in Carcross and visited Skagway,  then drove south through BC and visited Jasper, Banff, and Kootenay NPs in Canada then Glacier NP in Montana. We towed the trailer about 8500 miles(plus about 250 mi. w/o the trailer).

Holiday trip to VA

We’re planning to visit VA and perhaps FL and KY over the 2017-2018 holiday season.
